The short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can send you an area plan and talk to you about it. We do not sell it. Our free tools do not require an account and do not send your searches anywhere.
Who we are

What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit a quote or contact form we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, target ZIP codes, and anything else you choose to type into the message field. We also record which page the form was submitted from.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard request data: IP address, approximate location, browser type, and referring page. This is used for security and aggregate traffic analysis.
Information stored in your browser
Our area research tool saves the list of ZIP codes you have added to your own browser's local storage so your work is still there if you come back. That data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
What we do not collect
Our free calculators and research tools work without an account. The numbers you enter, such as job values and close rates, are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers or stored by us.
How we use it
- To prepare and send the area plan or quote you asked for.
- To contact you about that request by phone, text, or email.
- To provide services if you become a client.
- To improve the site and our tools in aggregate.
By submitting a form you consent to us contacting you about your request. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to any message or emailing hello@areatakeover.com, and we will stop.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, email delivery, and customer management software, and only as needed to do that work. If a law enforcement request or legal obligation requires disclosure, we will comply with it.
Third-party services
If you become a client, campaigns may involve Google and Meta advertising platforms, which have their own privacy policies governing data collected through their pixels and tags. Where we place tracking tags on your website, that is covered by your own site's privacy policy rather than this one.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for up to 24 months from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Client records are retained as long as needed for the engagement and for the period our accountants require afterwards.
Your choices
- Access. Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you.
- Correction. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
- Opt out. Reply "STOP" to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or just tell us on the phone.

Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and check the consent box, we may contact you by text about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. We do not send marketing texts to people who have not asked to hear from us.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
