1. Acceptance

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. The free tools

Our EDDM calculator and area research tool are provided free and without warranty. They produce estimates and projections based on assumptions you choose. They are planning aids, not forecasts, and nothing they output is a guarantee of any result.

Specifically:

• Cost figures reflect typical market rates and current USPS postage at the date shown. Actual quotes vary by vendor, specification, and timing.
• Carrier route counts are estimates derived from household counts. Actual USPS route counts differ and are confirmed only by pulling route data directly.
• Response rates, close rates, and revenue projections are assumptions you enter. They are arithmetic, not prediction.
• The "fit score" is our own composite heuristic, not a Census statistic and not a measure of expected performance.

3. Census data

Demographic data is sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey 2019-2023 five-year estimates and is presented unmodified. Census estimates carry margins of error and may not reflect current conditions. The Census Bureau does not endorse us or this site. We make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.

4. No professional advice

Content on this site, including our guides and benchmarks, is general information, not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Response rates, cost figures, and return projections describe typical outcomes, not yours. Take advice from a qualified professional before relying on any of it for a business decision.

5. Services and quotes

Prices shown on this site are indicative. A quote becomes binding only when issued in writing for a defined scope and accepted by you. Any engagement for services is governed by a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over this page.

6. No guarantee of results

Marketing results depend on factors outside our control, including your offer, your pricing, your ability to answer the phone and convert enquiries, competitor activity, seasonality, and general market conditions. We do not guarantee any particular number of leads, jobs, or revenue. Case studies and examples describe specific past campaigns and are not representative of what any other business will achieve.

7. Your responsibilities

If you engage us, you are responsible for the accuracy of information you supply, for holding the rights to any logos, images, or copy you provide, and for the truthfulness of claims you ask us to publish on your behalf.

8. Intellectual property

The design, text, and tools on this site are owned by AreaTakeover unless otherwise stated. You may read, print, and share pages for your own business use. You may not copy the site or its tools for commercial redistribution.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AreaTakeover is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, arising from use of this site or its tools. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months.

We link to external sites for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of that state.
